We Distributed Over 150 Mosquito-Control Tanks in April Initiative

Between April 20th and April 25th, we significantly expanded our malaria prevention campaign by distributing over 150 water tanks containing Gambusia fish across Freetown. This achievement marks an important step in our ongoing efforts, bringing the total number of Gambusia fish we've distributed during March and April to more than 1,000.
Understanding the significant influence religious institutions have within local communities, we began strategically targeting churches and mosques during this latest distribution phase. Notably, Ahmadiyya Mosque, Wesleyan Church, and Faith Healing Camp Ground were among those receiving tanks. Our hope is that these religious centers will also host informative lectures about malaria prevention and the benefits of using Gambusia fish, further enhancing community awareness and participation.
We also distributed tanks to several key healthcare facilities, including 7 Battalion Hospital, Adonkia Hospital, Bethlehem CHC Hospital, Mutual Faith Clinic, and Metchem CHP Hospital. These institutions play a crucial role in our mission to protect vulnerable populations from malaria.
All locations where we distributed tanks can be viewed on our interactive map, which now extensively covers many areas of Freetown. This map help you visualize our growing impact.
Our foundation remains dedicated to providing ongoing support to recipient institutions through regular maintenance visits, educational resources, and community engagement activities. By combining biological solutions and widespread education, we continue to work passionately toward creating a sustainable, malaria-free future for Sierra Leone.
