About us

You can have everything in life you want , if you will just help other people get what they want
We are building future
At the Golden Fish Project, we are committed to creating a healthier, safer future through innovative and sustainable solutions. By introducing Gambusia fish into local water bodies, we are effectively combating malaria and improving public health. Our mission extends beyond immediate health benefits; we aim to integrate these solutions into schools, hospitals, and community centers, educating and empowering the next generation. With every new aquarium, we are not only fighting disease but also promoting ecological balance and sustainable development. Together, we are building a brighter, healthier future for all.

We are helping people
At foundation SAFMI, our mission is to improve lives by combating malaria through sustainable and innovative solutions. By introducing Gambusia fish into local water bodies, we significantly reduce the mosquito population, decreasing the spread of malaria. Our efforts extend to residential and educational buildings, ensuring that everyone benefits from a healthier environment. Our foundation is capable of helping anyone, as the fish can live in a variety of environments, from large glass aquariums to small plastic containers that can fit anywhere. We are particularly concerned about the vulnerability of people in hospitals and hotels, as they sleep and rest there at night, making them more susceptible to mosquito bites and malaria infection. We are dedicated to educating communities about sustainable practices and empowering them to maintain these initiatives. Together, we are not just fighting disease but also fostering a healthier, safer future for all.
Our story

The Golden Fish Project was born out of a vision to combat malaria and enhance public health through innovative and sustainable means. Inspired by the success of Gambusia fish in controlling mosquito populations, our founders launched this initiative to bring this natural solution to communities in need.

We started with small steps, installing aquariums in strategic locations like The Lead Hotel in Freetown. Today, we aim to expand our reach, placing aquariums in hospitals, schools, and public spaces, educating communities, and building a healthier future for all.
